SPECIALISED WELDING
The team at J C Smale employs aluminothermic welding in the manufacture of various crossings, turnouts and transitions for both standard and custom infrastructure produced in a shop environment. Other methodologies can be used for hardfacing or rebuilding of new and worn components where required to improve and replicate hardened wearing conditions.
CROSSINGS & TURNOUTS
Local manufacturing of H-crossings, X-crossings and switches removes the complications of shipping from overseas and enables the provision of larger assemblies direct to site.
CUSTOM COMPONENTS & INFRASTRACTURE
J C Smale offers additional engineering solutions supporting the light rail industry. These include interlocking fabricated crossings and transitions, precision-machined zinc-plated switch gear and customised groove rail grinders, as well as fabricated drain boxes and lockers.
